Before lodging a complaint with SOLVIT centres would be useful to double-check, or a problem with the national, regional or self-government institution activities and are you sure you violated EU law (treaties, regulations, directives, etc.). If there are doubts whether the complaint related to EU law, we recommend that you use the Service Your Europe Advice and assistance. 2. solis / Receipt of services
The applicant within one week is to receive the first response in relation to their problem, including an indication of whether or not SOLVIT could take on their case. Within one month, the applicant should receive a confirmation of whether their case is accepted by the Lead centre and therefore opened as a SOLVIT case. If the problem cannot be taken up as a SOLVIT case, applicants must be informed of the reasons and be advised of another possible course of action that might help them overcome the problem. Ten weeks after the date of commencement of the applicant should receive a solution to its problem. In exceptional cases where the solution is to close at hand or where it concerns a structural problem, the case may be left open after the period not longer than ten weeks on the condition that the applicant is informed.
